COOPERATION AND BILATERAL RELATIONS: New headquarters of the Somali Embassy in Algeria inaugurated

As part of his official visit to Algeria, the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Omar Abdi Ali, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Algiers on Sunday evening, in the presence of the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri.

The inauguration of Somalia's new diplomatic headquarters in Algiers marks an important milestone in bilateral relations between Algeria and Somalia. Ms. Mansouri emphasized that this building represents much more than a diplomatic venue: it embodies a bridge of communication and a living symbol of the fraternal ties between the two countries. This ceremony took place as part of the official visit of the Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs, which facilitated fruitful exchanges with Algerian officials on regional and international issues, particularly within the UN Security Council.

Ms. Mansouri also recalled the historic solidarity between the two nations and their shared commitment to working for peace, stability, and development on the African continent.

For his part, Somali Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali hailed the inauguration as a major milestone in a long-standing relationship based on shared history and destiny. He highlighted Algeria's role as a key partner in the process of rebuilding the Somali state, emphasizing its constant support, even in difficult times.

The ceremony took place in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria.
