Organized on the sidelines of the Algerian-Russian Economic and Commercial Forum and the Joint Business Council, which is being held on November 12 and 13 at the El Aurassi Hotel, this meeting is devoted to examining ways and means of increasing the volume of trade between the two countries, according to a statement from the ministry.
Raise the level of trade
The meeting was chaired by Abdeslam Djahnit, head of the ministry's general secretariat, and Israfil Ali-Zade, president of the Russian Export Centre (REC) for North Africa and the Middle East, according to the same source. The meeting, which was attended by the presidents of the Algerian-Russian Business Council, Mehdi Bouguedoura and Ahmed Azimov, provided an opportunity to examine ways of strengthening trade cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of exports, logistics, and technical standards, and to encourage partnerships between Algerian and Russian economic operators.
The two parties agreed to strengthen coordination between economic organizations and jointly organize events and exhibitions to expand areas of bilateral economic cooperation. At the end of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to working together to raise trade, thereby reflecting the depth of the historical relations between Algeria and the Russian Federation.
