Under the banner of modernization and African openness, Saïd Arabet takes the reins at Logitrans

On Sunday in Algiers, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, presided over the inauguration ceremony for the new CEO of the land freight and logistics group Logitrans, Mr Saïd Arabet.

The ceremony to appoint Mr Arabet as head of the Logitrans group was held at the Government Palace, attended by the Minister of Transport, Mr Sayoud, and senior officials from the ministry. The minister praised the new leader's skills and the importance of modern management based on performance, synergy, and quality of service, particularly to guarantee a regular supply of fuel in the southern provinces.

He emphasized the need to strengthen the national fleet, expand the network of service stations in remote areas, and open a dialogue with economic operators to enhance Logitrans' contribution to national and African logistics.

The appointment of Mr Arabet reflects a desire to revitalize this strategic group through an integrated approach between the Interior and Transportation sectors. This orientation is part of a local and national development policy, reinforced by the recent decision to entrust Logitrans with the management of the Tindouf border crossing, which is key to trans-Saharan trade and exchanges with Africa.
