Import: a digital platform to be launched soon

A digital platform for imports will be launched in the coming days. An agreement to this effect was signed on Monday between Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, and the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digitalisation, Meriem Benmouloud, the ministry announced in a statement.

Minister Rezig announced the imminent launch of a centralized digital platform to monitor the import process. This portal will bring together the relevant ministries, Algerian customs, banks, and other national institutions. It aims to establish a harmonized and transparent framework, ensuring real-time monitoring and better coordination among stakeholders. The platform will facilitate procedures for economic operators by allowing them to submit their requests without travelling, thus reducing administrative burdens. The Secretary of State for Digitalization emphasized that this project is part of the national strategy for digital transformation and unification of the state's digital infrastructure.
