Expo Osaka 2025: promoting Algeria as a tourist destination

From October 1 to 8, the Expo Osaka 2025 World Expo in Japan will host the second week of promotion of Algeria as a leading tourist and investment destination.

The tourism and crafts sector, represented by the ONT, continues to make its presence felt at this global event, with a second highlight dedicated to Algeria as a destination, according to a statement issued on Saturday by the National Tourism Office (ONT).


A large crowd

The national participation brings together the National Tourism Office, the Chamber of Crafts and Trades of the Wilaya of Algiers, and the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, alongside a selection of renowned Algerian artisans. This presence was marked by exhibitions of artistic pieces, traditional coral jewelry, and fashion shows showcasing traditional and folk Algerian costumes.

Visitors to the Algerian pavilion were also able to enjoy an immersive experience thanks to virtual reality, allowing them to discover the richness and diversity of the country's landscapes and national tourist heritage. The stand was very popular, attracting the interest of large numbers of visitors.
