A delegation from Abraj Energy Services, led by its president, Ayad Bin Ali Al-Balushi, is visiting Algeria as part of the NAPEC 2025 trade fair in Oran. On this occasion, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy headquarters to discuss strengthening cooperation between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman in the hydrocarbon and mining sectors.

Discussions focused on the implementation of agreements signed in 2024 between Sonatrach and Abraj, aimed at creating a joint venture specializing in integrated oil services (drilling, maintenance, well services, project management). Minister Mohamed Arkab reaffirmed Algeria's commitment to promoting Omani investment in these sectors, while positioning the country as a regional energy hub.

The meeting helped define the technical, legal, and economic aspects of the project, emphasizing technology transfer, strengthening local skills, and expanding future cooperation to other segments, including petrochemicals, hydrocarbon marketing, and specialized training.
