Algeria and Germany launch a major twinning programme

The agency said in a statement, "The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) officially launched an institutional twinning programme with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on Tuesday as part of the strategic partnership between Algeria and the European Union".

A ceremony was held at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers to mark the official launch of an eight-month twinning programme between the AAPI and European institutions, particularly German ones, funded by the European Union. The programme aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the Algerian economy and increase the attractiveness of domestic and foreign investment. It focuses on modernising management, improving governance and innovation in investment promotion. It also provides for strengthening the technical capacities of the AAPI, digitising investment monitoring systems and providing more targeted support to investors. This project is part of Algeria's economic diversification strategy and the ongoing Algeria-EU partnership for sustainable development based on productive investment.
