The Wali of Oran visits the Fiat and Tosyali industrial sites

On Tuesday, 11 November, the Wali of Oran, Ibrahim Ouchen, visited two major industrial sites: the Fiat Algeria car factory in Tafraoui and the Tosyali Algeria steel complex in Bethioua.

The Wali visited the Fiat Algeria site in Tafraoui, accompanied by several officials, to monitor the progress of the factory's expansion phase. He inspected the welding and painting units, which will help increase production capacity and the local integration rate. The "Grande Panda," assembled in CKD, will be the new model manufactured, with an integration rate of 20% at launch and more than 30% planned for 2026. In Bethioua, the wali visited the Tosyali steel complex, the DRI 2 unit and the expansion project to produce steel sheets for the automotive industry, scheduled to be operational in 2026. The complex is considered a strategic industrial hub, geared towards both satisfying the domestic market and exporting.
