Expanding areas of commercial partnership

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion also emphasized the need to exchange expertise in areas of mutual interest, within the framework of cooperation based on the win-win principle. Algeria's ambition is to build partnerships through co-investments in agri-food processing and skills transfer, especially as Brazil is recognized worldwide for its expertise in the agri-food industry.

The Brazilian ambassador, for his part, expressed his country's willingness to develop economic cooperation with Algeria and its desire to expand areas of trade partnership, given the potential of both countries, the statement concluded. Economic cooperation between the two countries has experienced an incredible surge in recent years. In 2024, the bilateral trade volume reached $4.32 billion, a 13.68% increase over 2023. During the first two months of 2025, Algeria imported 15,900 tonnes of beef from Brazil worth approximately $85.4 million, up 199% in volume and 254% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
