Arkab receives delegation from Siemens Energy

According to a statement from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Arkab is examining investment opportunities in Algeria with the Siemens Energy delegation, particularly in green hydrogen development, mining projects and seawater desalination.

During a meeting at the ministry, Sonatrach and Siemens Energy reaffirmed the strength of their strategic partnership, which has developed over recent years. Discussions focused on deepening cooperation in hydrocarbons, energy equipment, engineering services, training, skills development, and national integration in projects.

The two parties also explored new areas related to energy transition: decarbonization, emissions reduction, green hydrogen, infrastructure modernization, and investments in mining and seawater desalination.

Minister Arkab emphasized the importance of transferring know-how, promoting human capital, and integrating modern technologies into energy and mining projects. For his part, Dietmar Josef Siersdorfer, representing Siemens Energy, praised Algeria's commitment and confirmed his company's willingness to support national programs with innovative solutions and contribute to strategic projects, particularly in decarbonization and human resources training.
