Inaugurated on July 5, 2025, piers 19, 20, and 21 at the Port of Algiers mark a major step forward in the revitalization and modernization of this strategic infrastructure. Carried out by Algerian companies (Cosider, Ashghal, Meditram) with the support of national experts, this project illustrates the rise of local expertise in port infrastructure. The construction of pier No. 18, 265 meters long, now enables the port to accommodate large ships, meeting international standards in terms of safety and performance.

The program also includes the delivery of 106 forklifts with a total capacity of more than 6,000 containers, distributed across the modernized docks, thereby strengthening the port's logistics capabilities. A second phase is in preparation, focusing on the rehabilitation of docks 23, 34, and 35.

The modernisation also includes the digitization of operations, the simplification of administrative procedures, and environmental initiatives such as low-energy lighting and wastewater management. The Port of Algiers is thus positioning itself as a modern and sustainable logistics hub serving the national economy.
