Imports: solidarity contribution increased to 3%.

According to the Finance Act 2025, which came into force on January 1, the solidarity tax levied on import transactions has been increased.

Article 178 of the 2025 Finance Law increases the solidarity contribution applied to imported goods from 2% to 3%. This tax, introduced in 2018 at an initial rate of 1%, is collected for the benefit of the Caisse Nationale des Retraites (National Retirement Fund).

This contribution was raised for the first time in 2020 before increasing again in 2025, to strengthen the financing of the Algerian pension system.
