The country ranks 78th out of 146 economies, up from 79th last year. Its score rose from 27.6 to 30 points. The report specifies that only Algeria, Mauritius, and Egypt are in the "medium attractiveness" category (30 to 60 points). This category includes 63 countries. Four countries are in the high attractiveness category (80 to 100), twelve in the good attractiveness category (60 to 80) and 67 in the low attractiveness category (0 to 30).

The study notes that the Algerian economy is experiencing significant growth, which is supporting this improvement. Globally, the United States remains in first place with a score of 100. China follows with 87.7 points, and Germany with 83.5. Singapore takes fourth place ahead of the United Kingdom, while Japan remains in fifth place.

The Global Attractiveness Index assesses each country's ability to attract capital, talent, and resources on an annual basis. It is based on around 50 international indicators, including foreign direct investment flows, innovation, governance, and human development.

Founded in 1965, The European House – Ambrosetti is a consulting firm and private think tank. It brings together nearly 330 Italian and international experts. Each year, it conducts approximately 450 studies and organizes several events, including the Cernobbio Forum, one of Italy's major economic and political gatherings.
