In a statement to APS, Younes Bouarara, General Manager of the state-owned group, explained that this first shipment is destined for the Centrale d'Achat des Médicaments, équipements et consommables médicaux (CAMEC). It consists of 100,000 bottles of paracetamol for children.
Mr. Bouarara pointed out that this operation is part of the international call for tenders launched by the Mauritanian authorities in 2024, which Saïdal won. He also added that the group had recently participated in several other international tenders to export its products to other countries, including Senegal, Chad and Yemen.
Over the coming months, additional quantities of various types of medicines are expected to be exported to Mauritania. This initiative is part of a cooperation agreement signed last May between Saïdal and the Mauritanian company Chinguitty Pharma, which specializes in the distribution of medicines and medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
