12 Coradia trains back in service

MASCARA - On Tuesday, Transport Minister Saïd Sayoud announced that 12 Coradia trains out of a total of 17 trains that were out of service on the national rail network would be back in service.

During a visit to Mascara with the Minister of Public Works, the Minister of Transport announced that 12 Coradia trains would be put back into service, while five others are undergoing repairs. He specified that the new domestic airline, initiated by President Tebboune, will be operational in the coming weeks to facilitate travel to remote provinces, particularly in the south. Air Algérie is also working to adapt its domestic flights to airports that meet technical standards. Urban transport in Mascara will be strengthened with ten (10) new buses for the start of the school year. The visit also included the inspection and inauguration of several road and rail infrastructure projects, the launch of a tourist bus service, cultural and leisure activities, and the graduation ceremony for the first class of pilots trained at the private "Sky Training" school at Ghriss Airport.
