Rekhroukh received in Nouakchott by Mauritanian president

The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Mr Lakhdar Rekhroukh, was received in Nouakchott on Thursday by the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, on the sidelines of the 2nd session of the Algerian-Mauritanian joint commission monitoring the Tindouf-Zouerate road project.

The meeting, held at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Algerian Embassy in Nouakchott, Mohamed Karim, and the Director General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development (AACISD), Mr. Abed Halouz, on the Algerian side. Abed Halouz, on the Algerian side, and the Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Ely Ould El Veirik, and the Mauritanian Ambassador, Sidi Mohamed Ould Abdallah, on the Mauritanian side, according to the press release.

 

On this occasion, the Minister conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his Mauritanian counterpart, the same source added.

 

The meeting was "an opportunity to review the cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as the growing momentum of these relations in several fields, through which the leaders of the two countries aspire to promote bilateral relations to the rank of an integrated and complementary partnership".

 

Discussions focused particularly on the progress of the Tindouf-Zouerate road project, which, along with other related projects, will strengthen ties between the two brotherly peoples, trade and relations between the two countries, adds the press release.

 

As a reminder, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures began a working visit to Mauritania on Wednesday, during which he co-chaired with the Mauritanian Minister of Equipment and Transport, Ely Ould El Veirik, the opening of the 2nd session of the Algerian-Mauritanian joint commission monitoring the Tindouf-Zouerate road project.
