More than 11 million Edahabia card holders

“The number of Edahabia cards from Algérie Poste in circulation exceeded the threshold of 11 million cards, whereas this number did not exceed 6 million cards at the beginning of 2020,” the source said.

The widespread use of Edahabia bank card is part of the promotion of electronic payment in Algeria, a move that was only possible thanks to the development of the necessary infrastructure and the monetary platform of Algérie Poste, it was explained.

Edahabia card also plays an important role in reducing tensions in post offices, thanks to withdrawals at the levels of automatic teller machines (ATMs), recently reinforced by the installation of 600 additional ATMs, an increase of more than 40%.

It should be noted that the holders of the Edahabia payment card and the bank card can use the means of withdrawal and payment of Algérie Poste and the banks, as part of the interoperability agreement between their two payment platforms.
