Digitization and interconnection of tax administration: President orders acceleration of pace

According to an official press release from the Office of the President of the Republic, the digitization of tax services and the interoperability of tax data with the national digital data platform were on the Council of Ministers' agenda yesterday.

The President of the Republic insisted on speeding up the project to interconnect tax departments to eliminate any human interference in data management. This digitization aims to facilitate procedures for investors and enhance the transparency of tax operations. Since early 2023, the tax authorities, alongside the Customs and Domains departments, have made significant progress in digitizing their services through platforms such as “Djibayatic” and “Moussahamatic”. However, interoperability with other administrations remains incomplete, ensuring better taxpayer traceability, expanding the tax base and fighting fraud. To achieve this, nine interconnection interfaces are being developed, notably with the Ministry of the Interior, Customs and other strategic bodies, to improve tax collection and simplify administrative procedures.
