The Minister of Public Works receives the Tunisian Minister of Public Works and Housing

The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, received yesterday, at the headquarters of his ministry, Mrs. Sarra Zafrani Zenzeri, Minister of Equipment and Housing of the Republic of Tunisia, in the presence of the Tunisian ambassador to Algeria, Ramdane El Faïdh, as well as central executives from both ministries. The meeting was held at the request of the Tunisian minister.

The meeting is part of the 41st session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Urban Development, chaired by Algeria.

 

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways of strengthening partnership and cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia in public works and basic infrastructure. Emphasis was placed on major projects to develop infrastructure and improve transport and mobility networks.

 

The ministers also discussed the need to strengthen integration between Algerian and Tunisian companies through joint projects, particularly road and freeway construction. They underlined the significant experience of Algerian national companies in infrastructure construction, particularly in railroads and guided transport systems.

 

Finally, the two parties agreed on the importance of intensifying bilateral cooperation by promoting skills training in the public works and basic infrastructure sectors. This initiative aims to consolidate relations between the two countries and boost exchanges of expertise.
