According to World Bank forecasts, Algeria's GDP growth is expected to reach 3.8% in 2025 and 3.7% in 2026, thanks to the strength of non-hydrocarbon sectors. This momentum offsets the decline in hydrocarbon production, supported by robust domestic consumption and an increase in investment (+13.9%).

Inflation is expected to fall to 2.8% in 2025, down from 4% the previous year.

The report entitled "Employment and Women: Untapped Talent, Unrealized Growth" commends Algeria's progress in integrating women into the labour market, with participation rates rising from 7% in 2000 to 17% in 2017.
