Pharmaceutical industry: several agreements expected at IATF-2025 in Algiers

Several agreements for the export of Algerian medicines and medical devices to African countries will be signed at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), scheduled for September 4-10 in Algiers, a representative from the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry told APS.

Algeria will participate in IATF 2025 with 14 public and private operators selected for their proven experience in exporting to Africa. Each operator will sign at least one export contract. These companies are involved in various areas of the pharmaceutical industry, including the development of medicines, medical devices, and clinical research. The aim is to forge strategic partnerships and strengthen African health sovereignty. Algeria, which has more than 200 pharmaceutical production units representing one-third of Africa's capacity, is seeking to expand its markets and diversify its exports.
