These investments should boost economic integration on the African continent, Rekhroukh said on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025).
The Trans-Saharan Highway, an achievement
"We no longer talk about the trans-Saharan highway, which is now a reality, but rather about the economic corridor that will cross the Sahara and several African countries, as well as the railway project launched by the President of the Republic. This project, which is still underway, has seen the completion and acceptance of certain sections capable of connecting Algiers to the far south and will continue to Niger and Mali, extending further into other countries on the continent," said the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, on the sidelines of the IATF.
In this regard, the head of the sector stated that several agreements are planned within the framework of the IAFT, which is being held in Algiers from September 4 to 10, particularly in the field of education. According to him, these agreements will enable national construction companies to upgrade their capabilities and capture new market share in Africa. Rekhroukh also highlighted the success of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair, adding that the national economy will benefit from it.
