Ceramics: Spain's Port of Castellón seeks to strengthen ties with Algeria

The Port of Castellón is negotiating the launch of new container lines with Algeria for the export of raw materials for the ceramics industry, according to local media outlet Castellón Plaza.

The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rubén Ibáñez, has indicated that container shipping is being strengthened with countries such as Morocco and Ireland, and that with Algeria, he is working to expand routes after reestablishing an initial connection in August, following the reopening of trade relations with Spain. In this context, the port is preparing a new trade mission to Algeria, which will be the second of the year.

"PortCastelló is the major logistics hub for ceramics. Our external strategy and the subsidies applied strengthen competitiveness and enable us to meet the needs of the province's main economic driver," he said.
