AAPI- Invest in Denmark: Algiers and Copenhagen strengthen cooperation on investment

The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Mr Omar Rekkache, welcomed Ms Vanessa Vega Saenz, Director of the Danish organization Invest in Denmark, on Tuesday during her working visit, heading an economic delegation from the Kingdom of Denmark. The meeting took place as part of a joint workshop on mechanisms for promoting and attracting foreign direct investment.

The visit by Ms Vega Saenz, former Danish Ambassador to Algeria (2019-2023), marked a workshop dedicated to promoting investment, which was also attended by the current ambassador, Ms Catherine Fromm Hoyer, representatives from Invest in Denmark, the AAPI, and the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussions focused on national strategies for attracting FDI, administrative simplification, digitalization, and improving the business climate. Both parties emphasized the importance of foreign investment for growth and employment, as well as the role of economic diplomacy. The workshop concluded with the adoption of a joint action plan aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting the sharing of experiences for the benefit of investors in both countries.
