Yacine Oualid launches the new agricultural season in Ghardaïa

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Yacine El-Mehdi Oualid, launched the new agricultural season on Saturday in the wilaya of Ghardaïa.

The Minister seized the opportunity of this working visit to formally launch the agricultural season, together with the Wali of Ghardaïa, Abdellah Abinouar, the President of the National Chamber of Agriculture, Mohamed Yazid Hambli, and the Secretary General of the UNPA, Abdellatif Dilmi.

After inaugurating a 10,000 m3 refrigeration complex in Oued-Nechou (20 km north of Ghardaia), managed by the public company Frigomédit, and inaugurating the new headquarters of the Ghardaia Chamber of Agriculture, Mr. Oualid visited an agricultural area specializing in cattle breeding and insemination in the town of Seb-Seb, before inspecting the local grain storage center in Mansoura.

At the end of his working visit, he emphasized the need to consider agriculture as a source of employment and to take into account the specific characteristics and potential of each region.
