A 17-storey tower to house start-ups in Algiers

An agreement was signed on Sunday between the Algerian Start-up Fund (ASF) and the Caisse Nationale d'Epargne et de Prévoyance (CNEP-Banque), allocating a tower in Algiers to house start-ups.

The agreement was signed by Managing Director of CNEP-Banque, Samir Tamrabet, and Managing Director of ASF, Okba Hachani, in the presence of Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid, and Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, on the sidelines of the Algerian Production Fair at the Palais des expositions (Algiers).


Under the terms of the agreement, Tower 17 in the 554 housing estate at El Djawhara (Hamma-Belouizdad), owned by CNEP-Banque, will be made exclusively available to the ASF Fund to house start-ups.


According to the explanations given at the signing ceremony, Tower 17 has 17 floors and a total surface area of 10,000 m², and includes the facilities needed and adapted to the activities of start-ups.


In addition to the spaces dedicated to housing start-ups, this "modern" tower includes modelling centres, start-up accelerators, as well as the new headquarters of the ASF and exhibition and relaxation areas.
