Sifi Ghrieb launches the Skills Olympics and promotes Algerian skills

The first edition of the WorldSkills Algeria National Skills Olympics was officially launched on Monday in Oran by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb. For him, this event goes far beyond the scope of a simple competition.

At the opening of the national skills competition, the Algerian Prime Minister emphasised that this event reflects Algeria's ambition to become a major player in the field of trades and skills at the African and international level. He highlighted President Tebboune's commitment to economic transformation based on the development of national talent. Algeria's membership of the WorldSkills Africa initiative illustrates this strategic vision. The Prime Minister also emphasised the importance of valuing craftsmen and technicians as much as engineers and doctors, as well as the key role of young people in future growth. The aim is for every vocational training graduate to become an agent of change, capable of creating value, rather than simply a job seeker.
