State Land Protection, Urban Planning Act: President Tebboune’s guidelines

At the meeting of the Council of Ministers which he presided over, the Head of State gave instructions to the Government to enrich the draft bill on the preservation of State lands.

He also ordered the revision of the Urban Planning Act on the basis of real planning in order to eradicate the aspects of lawlessness definitively, and that all buildings and construction operations should be subject, in the future, to a legal and strictly regulated framework, especially in cities.

He urged the Ministers of Interior and Habitat "to ensure the creation of an Urban Planning Police within the framework of the draft revision of the Urban Law, with the aim of strengthening the protection of State land, while ensuring its presence in all the municipalities of the country."
