Emerging and innovative projects: The Algerian Electrical Industries Group launches an initiative to support smart, sustainable cities
The Algerian Electrical Industries Group recently launched an initiative to support emerging and innovative projects in the field of smart and sustainable cities, said Group Chairman Djillani Koubibi Bachir on Saturday.
Launch of an initiative to support startups in smart and sustainable cities
During a study day on "smart and sustainable cities", organized in Tlemcen in collaboration with the city's National School of Engineers, Mr. Djillani Koubibi, representative of the electrical industries trade association, announced a new initiative to support startups and innovative projects.
Objectives of the initiative
Encourage
creativity and technological innovation in the design of modern cities.
Promote partnerships between academia and industry for sustainable solutions.
Promote the development of smart cities as a lever for sustainable development.
Memorandum of understanding
A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the École nationale des ingénieurs de la ville de Tlemcen and the professional association. This partnership aims to strengthen academic and professional cooperation to develop intelligent solutions for sustainable cities.
Outlook for the Algerian Electrical Industries sector
The Algerian electrical industries cluster comprises:
· 160 manufacturers and 65 contractors.
· 59 technical design offices and 6,500 companies specializing in electrical work.
· 13 research and innovation laboratories.
The group aims to increase its contribution to non-hydrocarbon exports and support national technological development.
