Industry: Bachir wants to boost the electrical and electronics sectors

The Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, is continuing his series of meetings with companies in his sector. On Monday, October 6, he met with executives from the holding company ELEC El Djazair to further boost the electrical and electronics industry.

During a meeting dedicated to the ELEC El Djazair group and its subsidiaries, the Ministry of Industry reviewed the ongoing investment programs aimed at strengthening national production and improving competitiveness in the electrical and electronics industries sector. Minister Yahia Bachir emphasized the strategic importance of this sector for the technological and digital transformation of the Algerian economy, describing it as a key pillar for building a modern and diversified industry.

Discussions focused on the challenges encountered, particularly the modernization of production lines, the integration of digital systems into industrial processes (smart production), and the strengthening of R&D capacities. The minister called for greater industrial integration between ELEC El Djazair and other public entities, particularly in electronics components, packaging, and distribution, to create a cohesive industrial ecosystem.

Finally, he committed to ensuring regular monitoring of projects and constant support for ministry executives, with periodic meetings to remove obstacles and ensure that the set objectives are met.
