Finances: Portuguese companies called on to carry out more projects in Algeria

During this interview, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry, the Minister of Finance expressed the wish to see more joint projects between the companies of the two countries and the orientation of these partnerships towards productive sectors thus contributing to diversification. of the Algerian economy, adds the same source.

While welcoming the interest shown by these companies for the Algerian market and their desire to develop their activities in our country, Mr. Benbderrahmane indicated that the two parties must redouble their efforts to encourage economic operators of the two countries to move forward. forward to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities.

He also assured that Portuguese companies will find on the Algerian market, thanks to the facilities being put in place, the conditions necessary for the development of their activities.

For his part, the Portuguese diplomat expressed, in this regard, wishes from Portuguese companies relating to improvements in the conditions of installation and development of their activities in Algeria.

The two parties have occasionally underlined the significant potential that remains to be exploited in terms of economic cooperation, particularly in the area of ​​investment and partnership, and which would be able to take this relationship to higher levels.

Likewise, the two parties discussed the measures recently taken by the Algerian authorities, in particular within the framework of the 2021 finance law, to improve the business climate in Algeria and strengthen the competitiveness of its economy.

This interview was, moreover, an opportunity to discuss the health situation prevailing in the two countries and the measures taken by both sides to mitigate the economic and social effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the press release added.
