Algeria-Argentina: Boosting bilateral trade and economic relations

Houcine Zaoui, Director General of CACI, organizer of this event which was attended by representatives of ministerial sectors and economic operators of the two countries, called, in a speech on this occasion, to exploit the opportunities offered by Algeria to give a new impetus to the foreign partnership and create wealth.

He also stressed the need to explore the prospects for cooperation and commercial investment between Algeria and Argentina, and to strengthen contacts between economic operators in both countries in order to build bridges of lasting cooperation, particularly in view of the fraternal relations between the two countries.

President of CACI, Kamel Hamani, stressed the stable business climate in Algeria thanks in particular to the promulgation of the new Investment Law and the multiple incentives it provides for strengthening partnership and cooperation, recalling that the new framework governing investment in the country was aimed at boosting investment, creating wealth and diversifying the resources of the national economy.

He also called on Algerian and Argentine operators and investors to strengthen contacts and seize the different opportunities offered in various areas of cooperation.

Speaking at the event, the Governor of the Province of Entre Rios, Gustavo Bordet, emphasized the importance of this Forum, which aims, first and foremost, to breath fresh air into bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of the pharmaceutical industry, vehicles and agri-food industries.

In a press statement on the side-lines of the event, Argentine Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Mariano Simon Padrosa, stressed the importance of strengthening economic relations between Algeria and Argentina, and of increasing the value of trade.

It should be noted that the participants of this Forum gave speeches on economic diplomacy, the investment climate in Algeria and foreign trade.
