The kick-off came during a working and inspection visit by the Minister, who was accompanied by the Wali of Algiers, Mohamed-Abdenour Rabehi, and the President of the Wilaya People's Assembly (APW), Lahbib Ben Boulaïd, to visit several projects in the wilaya.
The projects launched as part of the "strategic vision for the development and modernization of the capital" include the White Plan for urban development and building rehabilitation, the Yellow Plan for transport and mobility in the capital, the Green Plan aimed at restoring ecological balances and improving the environment in the capital, and the Blue Plan for developing the seafront of the Bay of Algiers.
In this context, Mr. Rekhroukh launched the Blue Plan project to develop the seafront near the Ferhani stadium in the Bab El Oued commune (district). He instructed the two project managers to ensure that the waves would be kept under control, given the significant damage they could cause and praised the importance of the project and the coordination between its size and cost.
Concerning the Yellow Plan to facilitate transport and mobility in Algiers, the Minister kicked off work in Chéraga on the construction of a 280 m-long hopper on the RN41 to relieve traffic congestion, particularly on the Chéraga-Aïn Benian axis, with handover scheduled for June. In the commune of El Achour, Mr. Rekhroukh took stock of progress on the second section of the bypass linking the 5 Juillet complex to Kheraïcia.
On this occasion, he stressed the need to meet the project's delivery deadline, i.e. before the end of March. The Minister and his accompanying delegation then moved on to the Baba Hassan commune, where they inspected the progress of work on doubling the bypass linking the communes of Baba Hassan and Saoula, which is 90% complete, with handover scheduled for April.
At the end of his working visit, the Minister moved on to the commune of Birkhadem, where he inspected work in progress on the RN63 linking Saoula to Birkhadem. The first work phase has been completed, and the second phase is due to be launched "as soon as possible", with delivery scheduled for the end of April.
