The Alicante port recorded 163,618 passengers on the route to Algeria in one year, up 36.7% from the previous year. Vehicle traffic also jumped by nearly 58%, reaching 69,251 units.

Three companies operate these routes to Oran and Algiers: Nouris Elbahr Ferries, Algérie Ferries and Madar Maritime Company. The first, a private Algerian company, is celebrating its first year of operation, having carried more than 63,000 passengers and nearly 30,000 vehicles.

According to the port authority, these results reflect the strength of economic, family and cultural exchanges between Alicante and Algeria. The port aims to reinforce its services and strengthen its strategic position in the western Mediterranean, underlining its role in maritime traffic with North Africa.
