Government: The bill on the fight against forgery and fraud under consideration

The Government, which held its first meeting this Thursday of this social year, examined the bill, decided in the Council of Ministers by the President of the Republic, on the fight against forgery and fraud, presented by the Minister of Justice.

The government statement said the bill “aims to address such offenses in all their forms, including forgery of official, public, and commercial documents, identity fraud, and improper receipt of government benefits, subsidies, and tax exemptions and other benefits.”

The Government also stresses that this new text is “part of the continuing implementation of the presidential commitment to moralize public life, in particular by establishing genuine fair competition in all areas, protecting public confidence, eliminating the various forms of fraud for access to services and benefits of all kinds and enshrining transparency in transactions.”
