On the sidelines of IATF 2025, Algeria is intensifying its strategic partnerships in the energy sector. Minister Mohamed Arkab met with Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Marshavin to strengthen cooperation in hydrocarbons, mining, renewable energies, and civil nuclear power, building on the collaboration between Sonatrach, Gazprom, Rosatom, and COMENA. The focus is on the development of green hydrogen, solar energy, and regional electricity connection projects. At the same time, Secretary of State for Renewable Energy, Noureddine Yassaâ, met with a representative of Germany's PTB to deepen technical and scientific cooperation in clean energy. The aim is to strengthen quality infrastructure, training, and standardization in renewable energy and green hydrogen, building on the previous successes of the partnership between the PTB and the CDER.
