Housing Bank: Main information you need to know

The Banque Nationale de l’Habitat SPA has just obtained its approval to carry out its activities. The approval of the National Housing Bank was granted by Decision n22-03 dated 29 December 2022. This financial institution, located in the business district of Bab-Ezzouar and with a registered capital of 80 billion dinars, can now, according to this edition of JO, carry out all the operations recognized to the banks. However, as its missions and operating methods are not yet visible, private property developers in particular do not know whether they will be able to benefit from loans for the realization of their housing projects by this bank.

Noting that the creation of the Bank is one of the government’s objectives to absorb household savings and channel it into real estate investment, finance expert Mahdi Longuar says the Bank is capable of opening bank accounts for citizens, businesses and institutions.
