The Ministry of Foreign Trade organized two meetings in Algiers to monitor the progress of two strategic mining line projects, West and East, to which President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is paying particular attention. The minister emphasized coordination between companies and ordered the creation of a central committee responsible for closely monitoring the work. The 950 km western line is divided into three sections carried out by Algerian and Algerian-Chinese consortia, part of which has already been delivered. The 422 km eastern line is linked to phosphate mining and comprises several segments entrusted to national and joint ventures. The companies involved have promised to meet the deadlines thanks to a continuous rotation system. These meetings, which bring together the main players in the sector, are part of a regular monitoring cycle aimed at anticipating obstacles and preparing for the minister's upcoming field visits.
