At an event held under the patronage of the President of the Republic, bailiffs were presented as key players in ensuring legal certainty for foreign investors. The meeting in Algiers aims to promote the adoption of new procedures to accelerate the exchange between states and facilitate dispute resolution. Mohamed Ridha Dahemri, President of the National Chamber of Judicial Officers, pointed out the need to adapt the missions of judicial officers to current economic demands. The current procedures, which are long and complex, are hindering investments. The participation of Mr Christophe Bernasconi, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), demonstrates the interest in legal harmonisation. Algeria, having recently ratified the apostille mechanism, is called upon to adopt digital tools to simplify the exchange of official documents and strengthen investor confidence.
