Hydrocarbons: Jereh Group ready to step up investments in Algeria

The Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, welcomed Jason Zhan Liu, Vice President of Chinese company Jereh Oil & Gas Engineering Corporation, and a delegation from his company to his department's headquarters on Monday, according to a statement from the ministry.

During a meeting with ministry officials, strengthening cooperation in the oil and gas sector between Algeria and the Chinese group Jereh was at the heart of the discussions. The talks focused on ongoing projects with Sonatrach, particularly in engineering, construction, oil development, and optimizing natural gas processing.

The minister praised Jereh's technical capabilities and encouraged the company to step up its investments in Algeria by actively participating in future international tenders. For his part, Mr Zhan Liu, representative of Jereh, reaffirmed the group's commitment to contributing to the development of the Algerian energy sector by relying on advanced technologies.

Jereh Oil & Gas Engineering Corporation, a subsidiary of the China-based Jereh Group, specializes in integrated equipment and services for the oil industry. Present in more than 70 countries, the group has recognized expertise in the fields of gas processing, compression station construction, and pipeline logistics.
