The national conference on agricultural modernization concluded with a series of recommendations aimed at strengthening the sector's productivity and sustainability. Participants emphasized the need to bring farmers closer to agricultural initiatives, particularly through mobile teams and more active municipal delegations. They underlined the importance of training, access to insurance, financing, and the proper selection of agricultural inputs.
The recommendations focus on digitizing production techniques, adopting modern irrigation methods, and creating national hubs for local seed production. The Minister of Agriculture has affirmed his commitment to developing a realistic agricultural policy based on technology and innovation, involving structural reform of the sector.
The promotion of successful experiences, the creation of cooperatives, and the widespread use of high-yield seeds adapted to the climate have been strongly encouraged. Experts have also proposed a national program for smart agriculture, in partnership with universities, research centres, and start-ups.
Other
measures include: support for start-ups in water-efficient irrigation,
promotion of local equipment, use of treated wastewater, creation of a steppe
zone observatory, development of technology incubators, use of spatial data,
support for young entrepreneurs, and improved financing.
Finally, land and trade reforms have been recommended to stimulate rural
investment, organize markets, strengthen competitiveness, develop agriculture,
and support exports.
