USD 48.3 billion in agreements signed at the Algiers trade fair: Tebboune to meet with economic operators who signed contracts next week

During his regular meeting with representatives of the national media, broadcast on Friday evening on television and radio channels, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, announced that a meeting will be held next week with national economic operators who signed commercial and investment contracts during the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), held in Algiers from September 4 to 10.

The Head of State specified that this meeting aims to urge immediate movement forward with the execution of these contracts, thereby marking Algeria's firm commitment to continental economic integration. Praising the resounding success of the 2025 edition of the IATF, he emphasized that it was a clear response to sceptics who doubted Algeria's ability to host such international events. “This fair, described as the best since its creation, has demonstrated that Algeria is indeed the beating heart of Africa, both economically and politically,” said the president. Referring to the future of the event, he assured that Algeria is willing to host a new edition if requested, in line with its ongoing commitment to African initiatives promoting integration.
