Meeting between Bentaleb and ILO Director: Algeria's pioneering experience in the field of social security recognised

Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Fayçal Bentaleb, met Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Gilbert Houngbo, in Algiers on Sunday.

The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the ILO Director-General's working visit to Algeria (April 20-23), was an opportunity for "both parties to exchange views on ways of strengthening cooperation with this specialized UN organization".

On this occasion, Houngbo praised "Algeria's pioneering experience in the field of social security and social dialogue, and the good relations maintained between the organization and Algeria in the fields of labor and social security". He also expressed the organization's "full readiness" to support and strengthen this cooperation.
