Towards an Algerian-Singaporean Business Council

As part of efforts to strengthen international economic relations, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Professor Kamel Rezig, received the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Algeria, Mr Mohamed Alami Moussa, in Algiers on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The meeting focused on prospects for developing trade and ways to intensify economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the discussions, the minister pointed out the importance of establishing an Algerian-Singaporean Business Council to provide a permanent institutional framework for strengthening partnerships between economic operators in both countries.

He also officially invited Singaporean companies to participate in the Afro-Arab Industrial Technologies 4.1 Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Algeria in 2026.

For his part, Ambassador Mohamed Alami Moussa expressed Singapore's interest in deepening its economic partnership with Algeria, affirming his country's desire to develop relations based on a shared vision, centred on the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
