After Ajet, Turkish Airlines' low-cost subsidiary, which began service to Algiers in January, Pegasus Airlines became the second Turkish low-cost carrier to offer this route.
In a press release this week, the airline announced, "We are now offering direct flights between Istanbul and Algiers from May 23,". Reservations are now open on the airline's website and mobile application.
The service between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Algiers will operate five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. One-way fares start at 139.99 euros.
Flights can be booked on the airline's website from May 23 to September 30, 2025.
For a round trip from Istanbul to Algiers (between June 2 and 25), the fare is 243 euros. The ticket includes 8 kg of cabin baggage, a small piece to be placed under the seat, and 20 kg of hold baggage.
In the opposite direction, for a round trip between Algiers and Istanbul (between June 3 and 24), the price is 237 euros, with the same baggage allowance.
The arrival of Pegasus Airlines on this route gives travellers more choice between Algiers and Istanbul. It also strengthens competition with airlines already operating on this route, notably Air Algérie, Turkish Airlines and Ajet.
As a reminder, Ajet began operating direct flights between Algiers and Istanbul on January 6, departing from Algiers airport to Sabiha Gökçen. Four airlines now operate direct services between the two cities.
