Over 500 projects trained and supported by the CNFE in 2024

Since the beginning of 2024, the Conservatoire national des formations à l'environnement (CNFE) has trained, coached and supported more than 500 project leaders in the field of the environment, particularly in waste recovery, establishment's Acting Director, Ms Achour Hayat, said on Tuesday.

“We have many requests for training from young people who want to set up small businesses in fields related to the environment,” Ms Achour told APS on the sidelines of the 4th International Recycling Exhibition “RecyclingExpo”, which opened on April 29 at the Palais des expositions in Oran.

Turning to the fields most in demand, she pointed out that plastic and paper recycling topped the list of the most popular training courses, adding that composting, which consists in transforming organic waste into natural fertilizer, and landscaping were two emerging fields in growing demand.
