Ministry of Agriculture authorizes the import of red and white meat

‘Interested economic operators are required to submit applications for health import authorizations via the digital platform from 10 September to 20 September. Importers are required to submit an annual import program," says the department’s note.

In addition to white meat, Algeria also allows imports of fresh, chilled and vacuum-packed beef. Importers may also import fresh, chilled and frozen sheep meat.

‘The meat import operation is open to all public and private operators’, states the same source.
