Algeria and Saudi Arabia strengthen their trade cooperation

Algeria and Saudi Arabia are further strengthening their trade cooperation. On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Professor Kamal Rezik, and his Saudi counterpart, Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi agreed to organize a meeting between Algerian and Saudi businessmen.

The two men, who met on the sidelines of their participation in the sixteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), committed to arranging exchanges of visits between economic and trade delegations, according to a statement from the ministry following the meeting.

The same source added, "During the meeting, ways to strengthen trade and investment relations between Algeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed.

The two parties also discussed the possibility of organizing an exhibition of Algerian products in Saudi Arabia and a similar exhibition of Saudi products in Algeria, which "would help promote national products and encourage economic partnerships between stakeholders in both countries," according to the same source.
