Import: Obtaining the Certificate of Compliance via the Digital Platform

“The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion informs importers of raw materials, products and goods intended for resale es seen that the request and obtaining of the certificate of compliance with the terms and conditions required for the exercise of this activity will be made via respect.commerce.gov.dz platform, which will enter into service from Sunday, November 5, 2023,” according to the statement, reported by APS news agency. 

This certificate, valid for two years, is required from any importer wishing to carry out this activity to attest to its compliance with the terms and conditions laid down by law. It includes data on the activity such as the head office of the importer and the human, material and logistical resources at its disposal, depending on the nature of the imported products, such as the cold rooms and the means of storage reserved for each product. 

The opening of an account on this new digital platform under the responsibility of the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion is done with the number of the trade register. 

The platform “is part of efforts to digitize the trade sector and to facilitate administrative procedures for economic operators, who will no longer have to go to the Trade and Export Promotion directorates to file their files,” the ministry said.
