IATF 2025: A record $48.3 billion in contracts signed

The fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), which closed on Wednesday in Algiers, was an unprecedented success with $48.3 billion in contracts signed, far exceeding initial forecasts of $44 billion.

The Intra-African Trade Fair broke all records, with $11.6 billion in export contracts signed by Algeria, representing 23.6% of the total. The president of Afreximbank welcomed this historic result.

At the closing ceremony, Olusegun Obasanjo described the event as a success beyond expectations, thanking President Tebboune and the Algerian authorities for their crucial role. He highlighted the excellence of the organization and the hospitality of the host country.

The summit brought together hundreds of African economic stakeholders around the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), promoting partnerships and a shared vision for a more integrated Africa. Obasanjo called for maintaining this momentum to unlock the continent's full potential.
